Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
CommsPost ("we", "us") provides a social media publishing and management tool at commspost.com and app.commspost.com. This policy explains what data we handle when you use CommsPost or connect a social media account to it.
Data we collect
- Account data: your name and email address when you are invited to CommsPost.
- Connected platform data: when you connect Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube or TikTok, we receive an access token and basic profile information (account ID, name, profile picture) and, where you grant it, the list of Pages or business accounts you manage.
- Content: the posts, captions, images and videos you upload or schedule.
- Engagement data: post metrics, and comments or messages on your connected accounts when you enable those features.
- Technical logs: records of publishing actions (who, when, which account, result) kept for security and audit.
How we use it
- To publish and schedule content you approve to the accounts you connected.
- To show you analytics for your own accounts.
- To display and send replies to comments and messages on your own accounts, when you enable this.
- To keep an audit trail and keep the service secure.
We do not sell personal data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except the social platforms you connect, as needed to perform the actions you request.
Storage and security
Data is stored on servers we control, encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access tokens are stored only to perform actions you request and are never shown to other users. Access to the service is invitation-only.
Retention
We keep your data while your account or connection is active. When you disconnect an account, its access token is deleted. When you ask us to delete your data, we delete it within 30 days.
Your choices
- Disconnect any social account at any time from CommsPost, or remove CommsPost's access from the platform's own settings.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data – see Data deletion.
Platform-specific notes
Our use of data received from Google APIs (including YouTube) adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Use of YouTube features is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
